Dolly Parton Does a Striptease - Late Night with Conan O’Brien

Hello there. Let me help you. Okay. Wanna help you with my double breasted suit. Yeah, I swear I was, I was just. I wasn't even thinking that. And the whole audience is like e. Well, that's all right. I'll have fun with them too. I'm shocked when I. Why not?

Well, I am so excited. If you're happy, I'm happy. I'm happy. I'm happy. You know. You do. You look fantastic. Thank you. I saw you for the first time just about two hours ago. You came in to do the rehearsal and everybody here was like, oh my God, she looks great. You look fantast. Thank you very much. What is the. Is there a. That's always good to hear from a woman my age.

Well, do you have a. Do you have a secret? I mean, some women claim to have a secret. They, you know. Yeah. Good doctors, good makeup. Good makeup. Now actually I just try to take care of myself. I see something sagging, dragging and bagging, I go get it fixed. I think you should. If you, you know, if you got the nerve, if you got the face. There are a lot of people who are afraid to admit that they've had anything done.

Oh, I'll tell everything. Ye. I have no secrets. I've had tons of work done myself. Yeah, well, it worked. You look good too. Look at that. That's not real. Look at that. That's all from here up. It's just. This is all aluminum from here up.

Well, thank you for the compliment. Oh yeah. Well, this is also a really nice outfit. You have a good. You have like a very distinctive fashion sense, like of your own style, I think.

I call it Pika Boutique. It's kind of. It's a combination of Trailer park and Park Avenue. Very nice. It works. But I have to we, you know, like trashy, flashy little things.

You like kind of trashy stuff? Yeah, I do. Cause I kind of. I've often told this story, but it's the honest truth. I kind of patterned my look after the town tramp. When I was growing up, there was this woman in town. You know how there was always one in the country? Let's say her name. She probably wants to hear her name.

I'm not going to say her name. She's probably watching right now. Say my name. Anyway. She's probably dead by now, but I'm sure she is really, for one reason or another. Look over in here. But anyway, no, but she was middle aged when I was just a little kid. But she used to walk the towns every Saturday and when I was lucky enough to get to go to town, I just thought she was beautiful because she had this blonde hair all piled up on her head, Long red fingernails, bright red lipstick, high heeled shoes.

And I thought she was the prettiest thing I'd ever seen. Mama said, oh, don't look at her, she's just trash. I thought, mama, that's what I want to be when I grow up. Trash. I want to one day be trash. I'm sorry. I just wanted to look like trash. I hope that I'm not trash.

No, no, you are not. The tabloids thing, you are not. I just don't listen to them. I can't get them to pay attention to me. Well, maybe after you and me get together too. Yeah, if you and I had a little, you know, then I'd get in there.

Well, you know, you never know. There's never like. There's never. There's been like one tabloid story about me in eight years. It was like Conan O'Brien has high cholesterol. Like a picture. What? Come on, link me with Dolly or something.

Well, after tonight, you just never know. I'd be honored to be in the tabloids with you. Check out. All right, well, we'll have to do a few things to set it up, but I'll take care of that.

Now, how are things in Dollywood? You know what? You're such a larger than life figure. You have your own theme park. What's going on in Dollywood?

Well, Dollywood is a great park. It's a theme park. A lot of people think it's just amusements. Well, we do have a lot of amusement areas. A lot of roller coasters and things. But we have a great park. This is our 16th season. We're opening our 16th season on the 7th and 8th of April.

And then on the 19th of May, we're opening our big water park, which is called Dolly's Splash Country. I like to do things. I like to make a splash.

Now, do you. Do you. Have you actually ridden the splash rides or jumped in the water there? Oh, no. You think Moses partied the water? I'd be like, wow. I don't think I better do. But we know. I think it'd be quite safe. Yeah. Ten people trying to push you under.

But, but, but actually I. Oh, this is fun. I don't really like to ride the rides too much, especially the water rides. Cause I wear all this makeup and all this wigs and I'm afraid it would fall off and they would fall out and I would fall down.

Well, you actually have a loop. You have a very famous, pretty cool roller coaster. Yeah, it's called the Tennessee Tornado. And it goes. You have to go upside down. Yeah, I don't ride that either. That stuff don't work with me. Right, right.

You know, the kids love that I'm afraid to ride. They think it's more dangerous like that. But Dollywood is great. We're very excited about it. We've been very successful. We're the number one theme park in Tennessee.

That's great. We did so well. We closed Opryland down now. Actually, they did. Let's crush Opryland. But actually, we weren't really in competition, but we are the number one theme park.

That's fantastic, because we're the only theme park in Tennessee. Now. What am I going to do? I'm in Tennessee. Oh, let's go to Dollywood. But we're one of the bigger parks in the whole South.

There's a. I want to. You know. You're saying that you're afraid to go on these rides or that you're a little tentative. You actually are quite fearless. I've heard that you will. That you will. If someone dares you, you'll do what you have to do. If someone dares you, you'll take the dare.

Yeah, but nobody dared me to ride the rides. That's true. I don' to be dared. I've gotten a lot of trouble with that because that's just one of those things from my childhood. Don't you hate to be dared to do something? I dare you. I'd double do it.

I would not do it myself. But you. I heard. I don't know if it's true. You have something in mind? Have you heard?

Well, no. I just heard that you actually were dared once to. It was a Tom Jones story that you were. And I don't know if this is true, but I actually heard about this. And sometimes you hear these stories about celebrities. You think, that's not true. Conan doesn't really have high cholesterol.

But you have actually heard that you were dared to. Is this true that you were dared to streak across Tom Jones lawn? Yeah. This was many years ago now. I've mellowed out a little. This was when Tom Jones lived over in Bel Air. I don't know where he lives now, but he was just hot as he could be and sexy.

And I had some friends out to Hollywood. I was living out there at the Bel Air Hotel. I think we were doing either a 9 to 5 or best little whorehouse. Must have been the best little whorehouse because I was horny that night. You were getting into character.

But anyway, a bunch of girlfriends, and we were just out having fun, and we'd been out and had a couple of margaritas, and so I said, this is Tom Jones house. And they said, well, let's go over there. And I said, no, we can't go in the yard. You know, they must have security. And they dared me to streak through the yard because that was back when everybody was streaking.

And they kept daring me and double dog dare me. And I just couldn't take it. So I just stripped down and ran across the yard, jumped back in the car and put my clothes on. And I don't think he saw me, but if he did, I didn't impress him much. Well, yeah. Anyways, then he's dead.

Yeah. Naked Dolly Parton. Whatever. I'm watching over. It was just fun. It was just a bunch of girls being serious.

That's so funny, though. That just. It really just took someone just daring you. Like, I could dare you right now, and you would have to do it. Well, don't really dare me. Not for serious. Don't be serious about it.

I dare you to take off all your clothes right now. It's sweet. It's sweet. No, it's. I mentioned about. This is February sweeps. I think we got people's attention now.

I double dog dare you. Take off all your clothes. Come on. Come on. Well, you'll have to help. I'll help you. Yeah. Okay. Well, we better start. This is gonna be a big suck. Hey, wait.

I better take his cross off if we're gonna get this. Oh, yeah, I know. We don't want any trouble. Yeah, yeah. Damian was backing away.

No. Help me with that. Oh, yeah. Okay, now, you may have to help me with this. Help me with this. Zipper is hard here. Oh, that was amazing. What's good for me? Was he good for you? I am in the tabloids now. Yeah, we made. We made it.

All right. Well, Tom Jones ain't got nothing on you. I showed that man. Special treat. Dolly is going to stick around. She's going to sing at the end of the program. You got to stick around. Donald Logan's coming up. Dolly Parton, everybody.
